Supplying your own design? Here’s how to prep your files for printing with us. We recommend you also read our FAQ page to get a sense for how your design will print.

FILE PREP

If you’re supplying print-ready files, we require the following:

• Illustrator AI or editable PDF files with all artwork and text as vector

• Set to size

• No clipping masks or white space present in the file   

• Text outlined (Type > “Create Outlines”)

• Minimum line weight for detail is 0.35pt. Please keep this in mind for smaller text with serifs and finer script or calligraphy fonts. Artwork and type can be thickened to reach 0.35pt if need be.

• Registration for more than one colour can be very precise but artwork trapping is recommended for fine detail and very tight alignment.

• We’re able to assist with file prep on our end but additional design fees may apply.

• Maximum printable area per colour for custom plates is 9x12”.
