ILLO+PRINT 2 - "Bouquet"
ILLO + PRINT is an ongoing collaborative series of limited edition letterpress prints that have been illustrated or designed by a local artist. (Illo = short for illustration) Each edition will be shared between the artist and myself and will be for sale for a unified price through our respective shops.
Introducing the 2nd edition of the ILLO+PRINT collaboration series!
This round features the lovely work of Kira Lodder with “Bouquet” - a beautiful retro-inspired floral piece which includes a funky split fountain colour fade. (This is when the press is inked with two colours at opposite ends of the rollers and they blend together, ie. the ink fountain is “split”. Not only is this effect super fun and beautiful, but it means each print is truly unique as the colours blend throughout the run. Take a look at that inked up press shot!)
Kira Lodder is a designer by day and an illustrator and artist by night. She lives and works in Toronto and is forever inspired by the outdoors. She has decided we will be donating *$10 from each print sold!* to the Native Women’s Association of Canada in honour of the inaugural National Day for Truth and Reconciliation here in Canada this year. Product description: Letterpress printed in 3 colours on sturdy 140lb recycled speckled card stock. Limited edition of 50 qty. Embossed, titled, signed and numbered by hand. Measures 11x14”.
